TMS triggers are registered in synchrony with the EEG data and can be used to apply TMS artifact correction, evaluate EEG responses or analyze the averaged responses. In addition, spectral 3D mapping, time-frequency analysis, and EEG source reconstruction may reveal further information about the underlying brain activity.
EMG motor mapping
Motor mapping is a common procedure in TMS to determine the site
and size of motor cortex representations. In addition, motor threshold measurements are often used as a basis for TMS sessions. Visor combined with asa-lab allows the recording of the evoked response. Motor-evoked Potential (MEP) can be recorded for each stimulated site and is projected in real-time to the brain surface in order to create a map with corresponding EMG amplitudes.
Robotized TMS Coil navigation
Robotized TMS is the future of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Imagine not having to hold the TMS coil in place for a long time-period and still being able to target the TMS with a high position accuracy. The robot arm will take care of this for you. Visor robotized TMS is a novel system for image guided TMS. The system allows to completely plan a stimulation session ahead by defining stimulation sites based on anatomical MRI information and functional information like fMRI, PET or EEG/MEG.
During the executing the TMS stimulation sequence, the system places the coil at the predefined target positions and keeps the coil in place even if the head of the patient/subject moves. Robotized TMS enables precise placement and orientation of the TMS coil, motion compensation and easy storage and retrieval of stimulation position with respect to the patients head.
